# Does the Swiftype WordPress plugin highlight search terms in the results?

The Swiftype WordPress plugin defers to your WordPress theme for rendering results, so it does not add highlighting by default.

However, since the Swiftype plug-in utilizes your normal WordPress search results template, this is relatively simple to add.

For example, you can install the third-party [Highlight Search Terms](https://wordpress.org/plugins/highlight-search-terms/) plugin to quickly add result highlighting to your search pages.
