I have a custom help desk plugin on my site that uses a WordPress custom post type and comments for the replies. Without searching the replies as well, this search isn’t very functional for us. Is it possible to also search the post comments?
Searching comments created by a third party plug-in is typically not possible by default, as the Swiftype WordPress plugin will only index objects that are stored in the wp_posts table.
However, a possible work around would be to instead use the Swiftype web crawler in conjunction with our meta tags feature to index your site.
