To install Swiftype’s standard embed JavaScript snippet or custom libraries with Google Tag Manager (GTM), you can add the code to a Custom HTML tag and publish the changes.
Special Note on Meta Tags
In regards to meta tags, Swiftbot is unable to process the JavaScript that loads GTM tags into your site’s pages. Because of this, the crawler will not be able to see or index any custom Swiftype specific meta tags that are added through GTM.
For successful detection and indexing of your custom meta tags, you’ll want to include them directly within your site’s HTML page templates.
