Weights control what fields are searchable, and how much impact any given field has when returning results. When adjusting weights, you should consider the following questions:

Does the field contain content that needs to be searchable?

How important is matching content in this field when compared to matches in other fields?

Is a recent result more important than an older result with matching content?
If results should prioritize a matching post tag, then they should be weighted in the dashboard.
