We have few subdomains of our website and we want to implement a Search which can show results based contents of our main domain as well as our subdomains. Is this possible with Swiftype?
Yes! This is possible when building a crawler based search engine.
To search subdomains, first create your search engine with your main domain.
Once your search engine is created, view it within the Swiftype Dashboard. Next, from the navigation menu, click the Domains option located under Manage. On this page, click the Add A Domain button, and then add your additional domain by submitting its URL.
If you’re using a separate WordPress install for each of the subdomains, please note that it is not possible to index multiple WordPress sites together when using our WordPress plug-in. To search multiple WordPress sites, you will want to instead create a crawler-based search engine.
