Why am I receiving a 'declined' response when adding/updating my payment information?



When trying to update my credit card billing information I receive an error message of declined. How can I fix this?

Sometimes a bank or card issuer will decline a purchase to an internet merchant, especially if it is located in a different state or country. If you contact your bank and ask them to allow charges from Swiftype.com, that will often clear up the issue quickly.

Also, we’ve encountered instances where a customer’s browser had javascript disabled, or had active extensions that blocked third party javascript from running. In those cases, enabling javascript or disabling the relevant browser extension(s) allowed payment information to successfully update.
